If you've
arrived at the bus station or rail station:
From the Bus/Rail Station: BY FOOT (2.6 Km approx.): - Follow Karadjordjeva Street (that is the one in front of the train station) head left following the tram tracks (its not uphill its straight forward) up to the fortress - park (Kalemegdan) 10 minutes walk, then U-turn to the right and walk up the hill. Take the first left, following the hill alongside the fortress. - Continue walking straight up, and then you need to turn onto the 3rd street to the right. - Take the first street to the left and you will be in Cara Urosa Street. Walk down the hill until you reach a wide road, the one where the trams run. We are just across the wide road (double tracks, tram lines) Cara Dusana Street on the left side, opposite the football-basketball playground, in a house. There is a sign at the main door of the house with our name on it. BY TRAM (10 minutes ride): Due to the repairs on the tram tracks trams run up to the Kalemegdan park where from you can catch a bus for 1stop. How to catch a tram? In front of the train station there are 2tram stops, one on the left is the one you need and direction Pristaniste(or Kalemegdan) is where you need to be going. Tram no2 is the only one running and it takes you only 4-5minutes. Youll get off there and there should be a bus no 2A waiting for you. Ride it for only 1stop and get off. You will be in Cara Dusana Street (its a wide road with double tracks and trams running through it and its straight, not uphill or down hill). Had opposite of the Kalemegdan park and we are on left side in a house opposite of basketball-football pitch. From the Airport: We organize pick ups for a fixed price. Please email for details. From the airport take the Lasta bus (the blue one; 200 dinars) up to the last stop -Slavija square. From here, you can catch a cheap taxi to us, get city bus or trolley bus 31, 21, 22 or 29 towards the students park and then, walk straight on towards the Kalemegdan Park. After that go down the hill until you reach Wide road Cara Dusana street, head right and look for a football-basketball pitch. We are just next to it. If you want to walk from Slavija Square to the hostel on foot you need to walk straight on Srpskih vladara Street, Terazije Street, Knez Mihaiova Street and stop in front of the Kalemegadan Park. From here you can find us using the directions above. Taxi ride from the Bus or Railway Stations will cost you 4 - 5 Euros top (approximately 400 - 450 dinars) From the Airport it should cost around 15 Euros (approximately 1500 dinars) Street signs are in Cyrillic so check our map where you will find the street names in both Cyrillic and roman Latin. |
